This is my prototype based off the Barranquilla Festival. The color scheme used for this design was a vibrant, analogous color scheme with pink, yellow, orange, and red. In the middle of the design is a tiara done with non-objective shapes. It's made purely of yellow, but for the gems of the crown being red and orange. Above the tiara are multicolored feathers that appear to come from the tiara. Below the tiara are multicolored flowers including a multicolored rose that's in the center. On the sides of the rose are your basic flowers shapes. The flowers and tiara are all done using non-objective shapes to give the appearance of feathers and flowers. It's all done on a black background to make the colors even more vibrant than they already are alone.

My idea for this design was to take the idea of the tiara from the Queen of the Festival, the feathers used on costumes and headpieces, and flowers used in the festival. I used vibrant colors as the colors in the festival appear to be all very vibrant. The colors and color scheme I used were a similar pattern in each of the images I found, so I went with the idea of that color scheme. To make the colors even more vibrant I placed them on a black background. The tiara is done all yellow to help keep the idea of a tiara and make it more visible as such. The multicolored theme besides the crown were done to mix all the of colors to create a colorful design. I chose to do a rose in the center of the flowers to give it variety instead of just three normal flower shapes. I knew I had to make the design using non-objective shapes, so I transformed my sketch into using non-objective shapes.
