This is a project that was done back in college. I was to redesign a foreign bill based off an interview with someone from that country. It was made on Procreate.

Which city or town are you from?

"Self Hampton."

Where is this place located?

"United Kingdom."

What are the first symbols that come to mind when you think of this country and its history?

"Queen and tea. There are cabob shops that are like Mc Donald's where you order and take your food away. Soccer-Football is a big thing. Pubs, if there is one thing Britain knows it's how to drink. Titanic is popular. History wise I would say Henry the 8th, Shakespeare, Winston Churchill."

What images are iconic to the culture of the country?

"The queen, the flag, and the Tudor Rose."

What is something that you wish more people knew about your country?

"People are aggressive and not what others originally think."

What are some relevant events that you participate in your city? (festivals, rituals, art spaces...).

"The Edinburgh Festival. It's mental with drugs and lots of partying. New Years there are fireworks where the London Eye is. We celebrate anything the Royal Family does and get four days off of work all paid."

What is the cheapest food you can buy in your city?

"Penny sweet, it's a type of candy thats 1 penny, around 2 cents where you're from."

What monuments/landmarks/cultural objects would you say visually express your country's unique identity?

"Big Ben, London Eye Ferris Wheel, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle."

What sort of attitudes express the overall culture of your country?

"Passive aggressive and sarcasm."

What sort of political/religious/metaphysical/economic philosophies are deeply ingrained into your country's culture?

"We're not very religious and the Queen doesn't have power. She doesn't actually control the country it's the prime minister and House of Parliament. She does a lot for the country though. Oh and the Queen can't break the law either."

What is the most important symbol or icon represented on your countries currency and why?

"The Queen because she chooses to and if she passes the money will change to the new monarch. Are currency continuously changes. We used to have paper, but now have plastic pound notes."

Which currency note is the most used by the people?

"10 pound note and 20 pound note."

What are the colors of the royal family?

"Purple and gold."

What's a quote often said in your country?

"God save the Queen. It's from our national anthem."
